

As part of the agreements, Six Flags took over operation of the parks from Premier Parks, LLC.

On May 22, 2018, Six Flags announced that it had entered into purchase agreements with affiliates of Premier Parks, LLC to acquire the lease rights to operate Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix and four other properties owned by EPR Properties. It was announced that Premier Parks LLC, led by former Six Flags CEO Kieran Burke, would lease not only Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix but Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii.

As part of the purchase, the real estate investment trust acquired the North American rights to the Wet 'n' Wild brand name. In November 2013, CNL Lifestyle Properties signed an agreement to purchase Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix for $33 million. The newly refreshed park opened to the public on July 1, 2009. The park was eventually purchased by Village Roadshow Limited, then the owners of the Wet 'n' Wild brand, who invested over $30 million on capital which included new attractions, as the park was turned into the new Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix.
